It’s well noted that outstanding economic achievements have been made in the transitional era of China. However, the society is being faced with both prosperity and risks that present themselves as the accelerating social mobility and social differentiation. The social structural transformation leads to the sharp contradiction of economic achievements and social conflicts. Consequently, China turns its focus to adjusting social structure and speeding social construction. Sociology is to explore the ways of establishing balanced and harmonious society, where the study of social members’ actions serves to be an important tool to cognizing society.Anthony Giddens hold the view that the more we know why we act and how the society runs in a certain way, the more we are able to manage our future. Under the contexts of tradition and modernity, isolation and open-up, individual actions signal the age, which manifests the social mechanism and its features. That functions to be a reflection of citizen’s individual actions during the transitional period of China. The paper samples the college students as the representative group who turn out not to be a group of random encounter, but a relations-oriented circle of similarity built by continuous interaction in a certain periods on campus. This group is a focus of much concern in society, and they are greatly influenced by social politics and economics and culture ecological changes. On the other hand, they actively adjust their actions to the changing social facts, continuously developing themselves with socialization. Therefore, the study on the logic of their social actions helps explain and further predict humans’actions and aftermath, exploring a way for managing organization, controlling society and stabilizing orders. The paper is based on the record of seating model among certain groups of three different colleges in the past four years, with surveys designed to collect the data of seating space and resources. The findings of the study are as follows:individual actions start from first order relation, and end with role-position relation and the establishment of regulations; the individual action orientations are actually the extension of certain social status; freedom and subject consciousness come to replace rationality and structure, and establish itself to be the new integrated principle of social actions.
