College students are the future of our motherland and the hope of our nation. Strengthening the education on college students’sense of life responsibility and making the college students shoulder the responsibility of life, it is of great significance for realizing the great revival of the Chinese nation. The mainstream of sense of life responsibility of contemporary university students is positive, but there is a part of the college students’ lack of responsibility consciousness, especially the lack of life responsibility consciosness, and the events lacked of sense of responsibility are reported by the media such as college students suicide and homicide, disregard for life, which reflect that the college students lack of sense of life responsibility and insufficiency. So educating college students to respect life, tocherish life and to revere life, and cultivating college students’ sense of life responsibility is an urgent thing.This article is based on the logical structure "asking questions-analysing problems-solving problems "to be discussed. On the basis of the principle of marxist ethics and scientific ideas of traditional ethics at home and abroad for reference and based on the research of the predecessors in life responsibility, first of all, it defines the related concepts of college students sense of life responsibility, and then it expounds the main content of college students sense of life responsibility from four aspects such as the profound life consciousness and improving the life course, positive outlook on life and scientific view of life and death; it thoroughly analyses the present situation and reason on the sense of life responsibility of the contemporary college students in China, and tries to put forward effective solutions. There are many reasons for contemporary college students lack of sense of life responsibility, but the bottom line is that we didn’t renewal education idea or didn’t form education resultant force, as school, family and society are all for themselves, the power of education was weaken. To cultivate college students’sense of life responsibility we must stick to the principle of combining self-respect and respect for others, practice and theory, self-fulfillment and social development, and explores an effective way to cultivate college students’ sense of life responsibility from five aspects like education, emotion, role model, psychological guidance, social practice and so on, whose aim is to provide beneficial thinking for cultivation of contemporary college students sense of life responsibility.
