The SOLO classification makes the education evaluation deep into the level of quality, providinguseful information about the quality of teaching for teachers and students.It has dual functions to helpteachers to improve their teaching and motivate students to carry on inquiry-learning.The evaluationmodel focuses on the analysis of students each answer which reflects the thinking of complexity to payattention to the students’ answers between right and wrong, and distinguish between simple and complex.This thesis is based on the SOLO taxonomy as a guide to design teaching combining with coniccurriculum standards, and apply it to the daily teaching practice, Using quantitative analysis method,observation method, questionnaire method to carry on the following research:1.The design of teaching goal of conic curve and the equation;2.Part of the contents of the teaching case on conic curve and the equation;3.the evaluation of the whole chapter formation test;4.Using LPQ Detect the learning styles of students.The main conclusions from the one semester of the experiment are as follows:1. The application of SOLO theory in Mathematics teaching practice can guide the design of teachinggoal, task, teaching order and teaching methods;2.The application of SOLO theory in Mathematics classroom teaching and job design can not onlyjudge the level of thinking, adjust and improve the teaching contents, but also encourage students to take adeep inquiry learning strategy, through observing the reaction of students on a question;3. The application of SOLO theory in the whole chapter formation test not only evaluate the quality of student learning, also show the students current learning level and in what aspect the student shouldimprove in order to reach a hinger level.This evaluation system plays an import role in the calibration,diagnosis, feedback, incentive effect on education practice.4.Under the guidance of SOLO theory, the teaching practice shows that, LPQ test results to a certainextent, reflect as to learning style the students are more likely inclined towards deep learning.
