High school students in English learning,anxiety and learning strategies are two very important factors in the foreign language teaching and learning.Much attention is also payed by more and more researchers in the study of foreign language teaching and learning. Scholars have found that English learning anxiety and learning strategies have a significant impact on the English level, and there exists a close link between these two factors.This study attempts to explore the impact of the high school students’ English Learning Strategies on English speaking anxiety, from the perspective of improving learning strategies, reducing the level of speaking anxiety, this study gives some proposals from the point of view of high school English "teaching" and "learning, which make a contribution to high school students using correct English learning strategies and to overcome the anxiety of speaking English, to enhance the English academic improvementa and applied skills;besides, it also promotes high school English teacher to learn more about the role of high school students English speaking anxiety and use of learning strategies in foreign language teaching, improving teaching methods means to improve the teaching quality and level.This study, from the aspects of English speaking anxiety and the learning strategies used by high school students, conducted a survey on the Enshi town relating to four rural high schools, which has a total of638students. This research taks advantage of the Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale disigned by Horwitz and the Language Learning Strategies prepared by Oxford. And the data was collected through the SPSS (15.0), which has found that:(1) the level of speaking English anxiety is much high and the level of English Learning Strategies is much low among high school students;(2) in terms of English speaking anxiety, there was no significant differences between genders and schools; while, grades one is the highest on the aspect of English speaking anxiety among three grades;(3)on the aspect the level of English language learning strategies, there are significant differences between male and female, in details, girls are generally higher than boys in memory strategy, compensation strategy, organizational evaluation strategy, affective strategies; urban high school students are much better than students in rural areas in communication Strategies; as the level of application on learning strategies, grade one is the highest among three grades.According to those findings, the paper focuses on the effects of English speaking anxiety caused by English Learning Strategies among high school students. The research on the correlation between oral anxiety and Learning strategies, finding that English learning strategies and speaking anxiety was significantly negatively correlated among high school students. In details, the level of communicative fearness with memory strategies, compensation strategies, social policy is extremely negative correlated;the level of communicative fearness with memory strategies, the organizational assessment strategies, affective strategies is, to some extent, negative correlated; the fear of negative evaluation and compensation strategy is extremely negative correlated; a significant negative correlation with cognitive strategies, social policy, and memory strategy, affective strategies;exam anxiety and organizational evaluation strategy was positively correlated.Based on the research of high school students speaking English anxiety and learning strategies, from the point of view of the students "learning" and teachers "teaching", this study gives some constructive countermeasures:from the point of view of students, students should pay attention to repeat oral englishto enhance level of memory strategies; to strengthen the "subtle" rational usage of cognitive strategies; to work the applications of methods to enhance the frequency of use of compensation strategies, which means to create a self-evaluation mechanism to supplement and improve the organizational evaluation strategy system; carry out a task-based learning model to enhance the emotional experiences; to carry out cooperative study, improve the level of social strategies. From the teachers’ point of view, teachers can build’you-I’ type relationship between teachers and students, to create a harmonious atmosphere in the classroom, reducing the anxiety of students’ speaking English anxiety; to improve teaching methods to strenthen students’ awareness of learning strategies;apply the multivariate teaching evaluation methods to reduce student spoken anxiety.
