Recent years, focus on the research of teacher education vary from the effective teaching strategies and how to carry out effective teaching strategies to teachers’ belief and knowledge, namely how to thinking led to the teachers’ behavior. Research on teachers’beliefs has become increasingly mature at home and abroad that research methods became diversity and research issue wide on teacher’s belief and behavior. Teachers’view on the textbook related teaching strategies and the education evaluation mode which teachers adopted, that can be said the important issues in the process of teaching. The content of teaching methods and evaluation model curriculum become more adapted to times after new curriculum reform.As we all know, textbook as an apart of curriculum is the most close to teacher, teacher’s view on textbook(TVT) reflect teacher’s comprehension of new curriculum. When we already established some basic theory of teachers’belief, the concern come to teachers’opinions and attitudes towards the new curriculum, which involve the teachers’knowledge, discipline theory method and so on, and it is also a test of the new curriculum implementation effect. Now the number of document on teachers’ view on teaching material is less, and there is no established basic theory system, investigation scattered in some education theory, this study summarized research on TVT, found that most of current research on TVT is ought to be, that is what kind of TVT is valid and correct, actual situation of study on TVT are relatively small-scale. If we want more depth and detailed exploration of the idea, including the causes of the formation of the concept, the influence to teachers’behavior, etc., we should summarizes the classification of TVT first.The purpose of this study is to classify the type of TVT and summarize its characteristics. We adopt qualitative research approaches. Researchers selected six math teachers in jilin, guangdong, and tianjin which use A pep edition teaching material. According to the characteristics of the different belief on textbook we make basic classification:the completely identification type, selective identification type, and the total disagreement type. Moreover we find that different teacher use textbook in different ways, some teachers can use textbook actively and creatively, but some teachers passively accept textbook. At the same time, the study found that the traditional TVT which viewed textbooks as "bible" still exists. In the process of interview, we even can see some origin to the type of TVT. Some keywords such as teaching practice, examination teachers often mentioned based on the TVT formation.
