Harmony as a criterion which is dealing with the relationship between people and people, people and society and human and nature, is an important part of Whitehead’s organic philosophy. Whitehead believes harmony can be divided into two classes,the one named Oriental harmony which is opposition conflict, struggle and the pursuit of stable;the other named Western harmony which is advocating of freedom, creative and adventurous spirit. In Whitehead’s opinion static harmony is a state of beauty; dynamic harmony is a process, the harmony has three characteristics which are adventure, openness and innovation. Today, Whitehead’s harmonious thought which provides theoretical basis for us to solve environmental problems, ecological and social problems.The harmonious teaching of Whitehead pursues the teaching purpose that is cultivating a wisdom and harmony person who has both culture and knowledge, integrity of the curriculum, and rhythmic teaching process as well as to the creative and advocate of freedom, which is also the current our country education advocates, this contains the organic lasting appeal of harmonious philosophy teaching thought pointed out the new direction for the development of education teaching in China.This research is divided into the following four parts:The first part is the introduction, the main contents include:the introduction, the reason of selected topic, research review, main content of research, innovation and research methods.The second part introduces the harmonious viewpoint of Whitehead. Includes three aspects:First, introduces the concept of harmony; Second, introduces the three characteristics of Whitehead harmonious thought:the "no union" of harmony, harmony is a dynamic process of risk and the openness of the harmony; Third, the ultimate pursuit of Whitehead harmonious thought is peace.The third part is the main contents of Whitehead’s harmonious teaching. Including three aspects:First, the purpose of education----"cultivation of both culture and master the theoretical perspectivewledge talent"; Second, the curriculum provision----the pursuit of culture, science and technology curriculum balance; Third, the teaching process----dissonant harmony spiral.The fourth part is the enlightenment of Whitehead’s harmonious teaching thought. Including three aspects:First, the teaching process need to correctly handle the relationship between freedom and discipline; Second, teaching mode need to make teaching tends to be merge between arts and science in high school; Third, the curriculum provision should increase the proportion of art courses.The last part is the conclusion. Make a final summary and point out the shortcomings of this research.
