| Alfred North Whitehead(1861-1947)is a famous British mathematician,philosopher,logician,and educator in the 20 th century.He was the founder of the philosophy of process that the greatest philosophical system of the twentieth century.His many profound insights in education are deeply influenced by his process philosophy and have aroused widespread concern in the academic world."Contact learning" is an important part of Whitehead’s educational thoughts.It is clearly stated in his book The Aims of Education,and it is regarded as,a teaching principle,the principle of contact learning.Whitehead’s contact learning and learning principles are rich in content,have profound educational value and educational significance.It has important enlightenment to teachers’ teaching in China.For this reason it is necessary study it in depth.Therefore,this paper aims to make a detailed analysis and summary of the connotation of the principles of contact learning and teaching in whitehead,and to study the the realistic background of whitehead’s life and the prehends theory of philosophical.On this basis,the connotation of the principles of contact learning is emphatically analyzed.At last,this paper puts forward three beneficial inspirations to the teaching of Chinese teachers.That is,teachers should have a broad vision in the selection and application of teaching principles.Teachers should have a deep understanding of "contact learning" and apply it in class flexibly.Teachers should strengthen theoretical research and explore the reform of teaching principles.This study is divided into four chapters:The first chapter is the introduction.It mainly includes: the reason for selecting the topic,the purpose and significance of the research,the research overview,the research content,the research methods and the innovation.The second chapter is the theoretical basis.The theoretical basis is based on the relevant part of the process philosophy intake theory.The first is the subject,material,and subjective form of intake;the second is the direct appearance,causal effect,symbolic reference;The three stages are reaction,supplement,and satisfaction;the fourth is the three-stage ingestion process;the second is the extension of the White Seaprocess philosophy.The third chapter is the expression and meaning.This part mainly sorts out and generalizes the key expressions of whitehead’s principles of contact learning and teaching in the Aims of education and deeply analyzes its meaning.First,"contact learning" starts from specific facts.Second,students gradually develop general ideas and concepts in "contact learning".Third,teachers should avoid inculcating general instructions that have nothing to do with students’ personal experience.The fourth chapter is the enlightenment of Whitehead’s contact learning and teaching principles to teachers’ teaching in China.First,teachers should have a broad vision in the choice and application of teaching principles.Second,teachers should profoundly understand "contact learning" and apply it flexibly to the classroom.Third,teachers should strengthen theoretical research and explore the reform of teaching principles. |
