| Since Israel’s founding attaching great importance to the development of education, thegovernments gave vigorously support to education and realized the high level of development. But as aresult of Israel’s Arab adopted a policy of discrimination and restrictions, which affected both Jews andArabs national education policy and the imbalance of education input and education Arabs and Jewseducation exists serious imbalance.This paper would discuss each phase of Arab education through the analysis of imbalancededucation in Israel of Arabs. First of all, gaps are great on the education systems of Arabs and Jews in Israel,which could be found in popularization of compulsory education, distribution of educational resources anddropout rate. Second, there is also imbalance status in higher education of Arabs. The Arabs without auniversity in Israel are far behind of Jews no matter in the aspects of entrance examination, learning abilityand employment education,for they would come into a new education system which educationalenvironment is filled with Hebrew.At last, the issues of inequality social status, principal status of Jews and “second class citizen†ofArabs came into being; owning complicated historical background such as from the historical perspective.These backgrounds consist of imbalance development of local economy, financial deficits which could notguarantee the implement of Israel compulsory education and high educational involvement, regionaldisparities, Jews Zionism and so on. All of these lead to the imbalance development of Arabs and Jews insociety, politics, economics, education, welfare and so on.This paper would take the way of comparative study to elaborate these issues above and come toa conclusion that long-term uneven resource allocation and policy discrimination is worse than useless forthe development of country. Israeli Arabs education is a typical case for studying educational equalityowning highly historical research significance which is worth writing. |
