| The main function of learning mathematics is to develop minds of human beings. As the Curriculum Revolution going deeper, especially when the Mathematics Curriculum Standard of Compulsory Education(2011) has been promulgated, it becomes a priority for the teachers to develop the students’ability of thinking. But for the students in junior high school, only when we make clear what the higher-order mathematical thinking for them is can we develop their ability of thinking. And so far the correlative research need to be improved.The author chooses "Research on the definition of higher-order mathematical thinking to junior high school students----analysis and consideration based on Mathematics Curriculum Standard of Compulsory Education(2011)" as research subject, This issue has generalized many related theories of the levels of thinking and used newly revised Bloom’s Taxonomy of Educational Objectives.After that,it analyses some requests to the students’ thinking in the Mathematics Curriculum Standard of Compulsory Education(2011). The investigating objects of this empirical research are students and teachers from the junior high school, and the in investigating methods includes literature study, questionnaire survey and interview. The basic definition of higher-order mathematical thinking for students in junior high school has been given at the end. Such cognitive characteristics,traits of thinking and typical behaviors have also been claimed by the author.The result shows that higher-order mathematical thinking for junior high school students mainly refers to the mathematical thinking characters when they learn the course or solve the problems related to main kens of Mathematics Curriculum Standard of Compulsory Education(2011) and face such missions like "criteria for determining when to use appropriate procedures,strategic cognitive knowledge,knowledge about cognitive tasks, self-knowledge". Such characters including analyzing, evaluating, creating and some of classifying, inferring, comparing and applying. A student with higher-order mathematical thinking skills has higher degree of formalization,good sense of symbolic,complete algebraic structures,rigorous proof skills,strong ability of analysis of data and explanation,comprehensive statistical literacy.He also has more flexibility and profound logic by thinking, and has more accurate instinct, more active revaluating and more abundant creativity. Accordingly, the student has many typical performances in processes of mathematical conception knowledge,math skills acquisition and mathematical problem-solving. |
