Our country is originally a rural society. The country is the foundation of morality and cultural heritage in China. But as the country to carry out the integration of urban and rural construction, village of uniqueness is slowly disappear. The rural education has gradually lost its rural social background to become nothing to do with rural education. In this situation, the country school ought to undertake the important task of saving country education, but in front of the urbanization process in full swing, most schools still chose to conform to the mainstream values. Even if there is a small number of school insisted on keeping their own country characteristic also encountered many difficulties.Based on Nanjing (City) Pu Kou (District) Xing Zhi Primary School as the research object, I try to understand the conflicts and sufferings of this school’s concept of education for nearly30years, to reflect on the plight of China’s rural education today.This paper is divided into five chapters:The first chapter:the first chapter mainly from two aspects:theoretical research and empirical research on rural education research literature of our country, and according to the particularity of the object of study, I have carried on the definition of rural education seeks to clarify the general rural education and rural education defined in this paper on the differences and relations.The second chapter:I generalize the history of Xing Zhi primary school through the literature analysis, observation, interview and other qualitative research methods. I introduced into the rural education concept’s integration and change of XingZhi elementary school and the practices under the guidance of philosophy of education mainly from three stages.The third chapter:I describe the different conflicts of XingZhi primary school’s education concept has encountered in the process of the development. The first phase of the conflict comes mainly from the backward rural economy and the education idea; the second phase of the conflict comes mainly from the principal’s own choice; the third phase of the conflict comes from the destruction of external environment and the carrier of the education concept; the teachers’difficult understanding and implementation to the advanced education concept.The fourth chapter:I analysis the cause of the conflict what the development of XingZhi primary school’s education concept has encountered. Irresistible urbanization process, the gap of advanced concept and utilitarian education needs, and schools survival choice are causes of the conflict.The fifth chapter:I reflect on the difficulties of the rural education development in our country. They are how to coordinate rural teachers’needs and system, how to plump spiritual world of the rural children and how to rebuild rural education.
