In the new round of curriculum reform, our country has instituted a three-rank curriculum management system,including state-compiled curriculum,region-compiled curriculum and school-based curriculum. Then,many provincial schools started to develop the school-based curriculum,which is not only associated with the management philosophy, leadership style, teachers’professional skills and the ability and social resource,but also contains many sociology traits,such as power,permeation of ideology and social control. Choosing L primary school of Nanjing as an individual case,this thesis researched the core curriculums’birth process and influencing factors in the view of sociology of knowledge,looking for the sociology meaning and trying to bring some enlightening minds for the school-based curriculum of primary school.This thesis chose three school-based curriculums of L primary school as the study object:environment school-based curriculum, sports skating courses, life curriculum.Through the curriculums’producing,growth and fading, the writer tried to probe the meanings from the viewpoint of sociology of knowledge.After analysis,we concluded that the school-based curriculum on environment came into being with the mainstay culture of protecting environment,but when other schools began this curriculum as school-based curriculum,it presented a current of fading though it still has its value to society.Both of sports skating courses which grounded on the concept of school and life curriculum based on the present newly-rising life education, have being developed prosperously. School-based curriculum has to meet the mainstay culture and to appear uniqueness as well as individuality.To primary school L,school-based curriculum is a logo. Since the environment school-based was produced in2001, other curriculums such as sports skating curriculum and life curriculum has been produced. The process of these curriculums’ producing embodies the power control and exercise and the infiltration of main ideology. School is the dominator of school-based curriculum, and school educational concept became the theoretical principle. The headmaster’s power and authority is fully demonstrated. Therefore, the establishment of school-based curriculum is the externalization and symbol of the power,as well as values of mainstream social status.With the development of these curriculums, some shortcomings is exposed and this deserved our attention. Some schools reflect out the utilitarianism tendencies, pursuing the fame and honor, deviating the original concept. Thus,only if the school-based curriculum is treated objectively and back to the original intention can we have a bright future.
