The module teaching methods built on the "module training "in Germany and "stage training curriculum model" in Britain and the United States in the late1970s. Its basic value orientation:cultivate the students’ learning ability, practical ability and innovative ability. After practice and exploration, the module teaching is a very good teaching method what should be widely applied. This article aims to analyze the applications of status of module teaching in students ’mathematical capacity-building. Find the problems in students’ mathematical ability; put forward corresponding countermeasures to promote the teaching modules to be better applied in cultivating mathematical ability. The ultimate goal is improving students’ ability level and enhancing the mathematical literacy.In this paper, it is from the need of mathematics education reform, proposing to implement module teaching methods in high school, expecting students’ mathematical ability will increase, at the same time; it will have good inspiration in the high school mathematics teaching. To collect extensive research results of domestic and foreign, conduct a questionnaire survey and teaching lectures practice based on the reality of high school mathematics teaching in China, understand the problems of today’s students in math competency development, and find the program strategies to address today’s problems. I hope it will make a point modest for future mathematics teaching.This study is divided into five parts:the first two chapters introduces the research of module pedagogy and middle school mathematics ability, explain meaning and theoretical basis of module pedagogy and mathematical ability from theory, The third chapter is the research part, mainly researching modular mathematical ability and modular teaching methods. The fourth chapter is the case analysis part, mainly developing students’ mathematical ability. The fifth part is the paper concludes and outlook section.
