Concept is one of the important parts of biology. Therefore, understanding andmastering concepts is the foundation of learning biology. Mastering biologicalconcepts is not only the access to knowledge, but also the basis of developping one’sability. However, traditional teaching tends to focus on beating the concept intostudengts’ heads, emphasize to remember the concept, while it ignores it’s applicationin a concrete situation. It makes a lot of students to remember a large number ofbiological concepts and principles, but they can’t put to use in real life. This is alsoone of the important reasons for the phenomenon that one can get a high score inschool but have no ability to deal with easy things in real life. Quetion situation cannot only stimulate students’ motivation effectively, develop students’ interest inlearning, but also make the quality of the concept teaching improved.In this artical, I sort the existing research results, analyse the dates simply, andthen point out the significance of this study. In this study, we use questionnaires,literature analysis and interviews to understand the current situations of biologicalconcept teaching in senior high school, analyse the existing problems, and then putforward a series of measures. The artical consists of five parts:The first part is the introduction. We discuss the research background, pose studyissues and show the significance of this study clearly in proper order.The second part is the related summarise. First of all,we define some importantconcepts involved in this study, and then elaborate the theory briefly, finally weconsult the existing literature, analyse the research status in quo at home and abroad.The third section describes the strategies and general steps of biological conceptteaching briefly, then propose principles and approaches of creating question situation,at last we describe the significances of creating question situations in biologicalteaching.The fourth part is the application status of question situation to the biologicalconcept teaching in senior high school, mainly by questionnaires and interviews. Bothof them are consist of teachers and students.The fifth part is based on the results of the questionnaire and interviews, thenidentify the existing problems and propose preliminary measures.Through the study on the application status of the problem situation and theexisting problems, we hope it can help improve the teaching status.
