There still exists the traditional educational thinking and teaching mode inpresent-day China. Therefore, we face the weakening of subjectivity of students, lackof subjectivity education and students’ inability to adapt themselves to the society andsurpass themselves. With the constant development of politics, economy and cultureas well as the increasing demand of practical and innovative talents, teachers ought tocultivate subjectivity of students during the process of university education.Subjectivity refers to students’ self-consciousness, independence, creativity, freedom,enthusiasm and motivation. Changes from "I have to learn" to "I am willing tolearn", from "passive learning" to "positive learning ", from "instrumental learning"to "motive learning" require the exertion of special functions of ideological andpolitical education and subjectivity education.This thesis not only explores the necessity and feasibility of subjectivity education,the present researches and developments of subjectivity education home and abroad,difficulties and challenges of subjectivity education in nowadays China and causeanalysis but also puts forward ways of implementing subjectivity education.This thesis consists of four parts. The first part is the introductory part, whichmainly focuses on the feasibility and essential factors of researches on subjectivityeducation under the current background in China. Moreover, it gives a comparisonbetween the status quo of researches home and abroad so as to propose the purposesand research methods of the thesis. The second part primarily analyses the currentsituation of subjectivity education research in China with further exploration into thedifficulties and challenges during the research process. The third part concentrates on"why"——reasons why the university students at present lack in subjectivityeducation. The last part puts forward the ways of how to implement subjectivityeducation on university students from the aspect of the theoretical knowledge of themajor.
