Research On Relations Between Hui And Han In A Hui Residential Area Of Ji’nan Shandong Province

Harmonious relations between Hui and Han are titanic. It has very strong theory significance and practical significance. And it is contributing to the harmonious society, the scientific development, the well-off society in an all-round way. This thesis operationalized, summarized and pinned the author’s hope on the characteristics and influencing factors of the relations between Hui and Han in a Hui Residential Area of Ji’nan Shandong Province. The purposes of these are making the relations more harmonious, and making the relations more adapted to the social development.This paper adopted convenience sampling methods. And this article adopted varies of qualitative and quantitative data collection method such as historical documents, questionnaires, semi-structured interviews, summated rating scales, Bogardus social distance scales, semantic differential scales, etc. This paper has described and analyzed on the Hui Residential Area of Ji’nan Shandong Province’s location history environment, the cultural identity of Hui and Han Residents(include the ethnic identity, the religious identity, and the marriage ideas), the social interaction between Hui and Han Resident(include the economical interaction, the living interaction, the mutually understanding, and the mutually evaluation), the varies of perspective about the relations between Hui and Han in a Hui Residential Area of Ji’nan Shandong Province in terms to the other Ji’nan citizens. First of all, there are five characteristics contributing to the relations such as a long history, rational cultural, equality and harmony, mutually respective, nd strong community cohesion. Secondly, there are five factors which is the community appealing, the ability to ensure Hui and Han Residents’ consistent interests, the community credibility, the consistency and complementarity in Hui and Han Residents, the proper outside pressure contributing to its relations between Hui and Han. Thirdly, we need for cultural awareness anywhere and anytime under the background of globalization.
