The Empirical Analysis Of Ethnic Group Interaction Affecting Ethnic Identity

The difference among groups is the basis of ethnic identity, the settlement pattern of big mixed and small communities provides convenient conditions for the interaction of ethnic groups, ethnic group members emerge self-consciousness in such a scenario, thereby strengthening their ethnic identity. But with the development of society, there exists challenges for traditional culture, and the assimilation caused by frequent interaction leads us to think about the ethnic identity, ethnic identity has become a research topic in sociology. Many scholars think ethnic interaction will have to strengthen or weaken the ethnic identity in different situations, but why ethnic interaction will produce two distinct effects on the ethnic identity? Which factors are the key to the enhance or weaken ethnic identity? The problem remains to be solved.The ethnic interaction and inter-interaction patterns have change a lot in today society, only studying the positive or negative effect of the ethnic groups interaction for ethnic identity has been unable to meet the needs of times. With the development of folk tourism, MUTI village from the agricultural society to the modern society, the ethnic interaction model has lots of differences than the past. So, this paper will launch contrastive study between the agricultural community and the modern tourism community, based on the different commercial status of the two countries, analysis why the higher degree of commercialization in MUTI village, its ethnic identity will be stronger? In this paper, under the background of tourism development, the ethnic interaction is divided into two parts: Social-cultural level and Economic level, in combination with the theory of primordialism and organum, the ethnic identity is divided into four parts: cognition, emotion, attitude and behavior in order to grasp the ethnic identity of the Qiang more accurately. Analysis the influence path of ethnic interaction effects ethnic identity by using quantitative research methods, and introduce intra-interaction, which plays role of moderating in the path of ethnic interaction affecting ethnic identity.Based on the quantitative and qualitative research methods, this paper draws the following conclusions: first, verified the significant influence factor for ethnic identity,at the same time, the cultural-social interaction has more significant influence than the economic interaction on ethnic identity; Second, in the path of influence on ethnic identity. Intra-interaction plays the role of mediation; third, the development of ethnic identity construction is the combination of traditional culture and the demands of the interests, the traditional culture as the basis of ethnic identity, members' interest is also driving power to the new ethnic identity. This paper not only expands empirical research study about the ethnic interaction influence ethnic identity,but also provide a basis for the future development of tourism policy in ethnic regions, it is of great significance for how to construct the new ethnic identity, ethnic group members can enhance their ethnic identity and realize self-consistent development in ethnic areas.
