Development In Guizhou Maonan

Maonan is a peculiar minority in China, which is mainly located in Pingtang,Huishui and Dushan of Buyi and Miao people in south of Guizhou. The economy ofMaonan has achieved rigorous development and there has been a great change in thecountryside since Yanghuangs of Guizhou was accredited with Maonan people in July27,1990. However, The following problems of uneven development was becomingserious day by day. Nowadays our country attaches great importance to problems ofvillagers, countryside and agriculture, and the positive development in countrysideplays an important role in the whole society, so there has been tangible use values tostudy the development of Maonan people in Guizhou. In present, the study of Maonanpeople is mainly concentrated in cultural levels, and there has been not much relatedto the political, economic and social (comprehensive) aspects. The development ofMaonan people in Guizhou means its all-round development but taking economicconstruction as the center of politics, economy, culture, society (comprehensive). Thepaper attempts to study Maonan people by combining political, economic, culturaland social (comprehensive) aspects in order to provide accumulated data for this field.The paper chose Changhe in Kapu, Jiaoyi in Gaozhen and Qiaotou in Yangfengas the case study. The writer made an investigation and analysis of the development inMaonan from the sights of politics, economy, culture and society, finding the commonproblems in restricting the development of Maonan, such as national consciousness ofvillage is weak, autonomy of a national minority needs to be enhanced, ethnicminority cadres training situation is not ideal; economic structure unreasonable,supporting policies needs to be thinking; the modernization consciousness of nationalculture is absent, the communion of cultural individuality highlight and commonculture is a problem; the awareness of Maonan development is blurred and passive,the developmental environment and mechanism need to be improved and so on.Meanwhile, this paper puts forward some appropriate measures and strategies.The paper is divided into production, the main text and conclusion. Theproduction makes a brief introduction of the reasons and significance of this study,related literature review, the choices of the survey area and the methods and theoriesof this study. There are three chapters in the main text. Chapter1describes the surveyof the district in which Maonan people live. Chapter2elaborates on the recentlydevelopment and existing problems of Maonan from four aspects of politics, economy,culture and society. Chapter3comes up with some appropriate measures and strategies according to the existing problems. The last part is the conclusion whichmakes a conclusion about the whole passage and proposes further studies to bediscussed.
