Study On The Construction Of The Team Of Ideological And Political Tutors In Nongovernmental Universities

Nongovernmental universities in China has just begun in1980s and experienced variousblocks and difficulties during their growth. With the guide of national policies and self-effort,private universities have become an indispensable part in China’s higher education. Thedevelopment of nongovernmental education depends not only on the hardware includingteaching buildings, laboratories, and dormitories but on the software like excellentadministration as well. It is of great significance for the nongovernmental universities toimprove the efficiency and quality of the student administration. Its system and thecharacteristics of the students make it necessary to build a team of college political tutors ofability and quality. The level of the team and the quality of its members has close connectionwith the student administration. The political tutor team makes great difference to the qualityand growth of the nongovernmental universalities in China.The identity of the ideological and political tutors in university is both the administratorand the teacher. He or she is the guardian of the teaching order and the conductor of theideological and political education. We should realize the problems in the building ofideological and political tutors in private colleges improve the quality of the tutors and bettertheir administration. Professional tutors with high quality are indispensable to the constantand healthy growth of the private colleges.Having studied the previous researches and the current problems in thenongovernmental education in Shaanxi province, this paper is intended to discuss the need ofthe team construction of ideological and political tutors in private colleges, attempting toanalyze the problems in their building and giving the strategies and suggestions related tothem.
