In recent years, many domestic universities have considered the quality of undergraduate education as an important link of talent training. The importance of undergraduate education does not only lie in bringing students to construct a more complete knowledge structure and form scientific thinking method, but also in making students gradually form independent world outlook, the outlook on life and values during the four years. Therefore many a university has studied and put different undergraduate education modes into practice, among which Tutorial System is widely used as an innovative mode. By establishing a harmonious tutor-student relationship, universities are able to comprehensively instruct students to grow and develop. This mode has shown some results, but yet needs to be perfected according to expectations compared with actual results.Through recent relative study researches in academia, this article aims to clear up the historical origins and current development status of Tutorial System; through the study of relevant rules and regulations of several universities, this article aims to survey how well these universities understand and value Tutorial System; through interviews and questionnaires distributed to involved students, the author tries to see how this system is being carried out as much as possible, thus better knows its existing problems and effective ways to solve the problems.The paper is divided into the following four parts:The introduction section includes the reason to study the topic, research thoughts and methods, and research status.The first part is the overview of the basic situation of the undergraduate Tutorial System. After defining the basic conception of the undergraduate Tutorial System, the author offers a review of the origin and development status of this system, and shows characteristics of this system and explains the significance of using this system upon teaching management under Ideological Political Education.The second part is the domestic situation of undergraduate Tutorial System in the view of Ideological and Political Education. The content includes:searching out actual practice of the system and relevant rules and regulations of domestic universities; processing interviews and questionnaires as well as result analysis; further studying the current problems under this system and reasons to these problems from three aspects:the campus, the tutors and students.The last part lies in a vision of perspectives of the Undergraduate Tutorial System whose ideal structure consists of:specialization of the Undergraduate Tutorial System, clarifying certain functions of tutors; emphasis on professionalism of tutors and laying out double selected system between tutors and students; fixing on the forms of organization and reasonable arrangements for the activities; strengthening the exchanges of instructors and other educational forces as well as optimizing the structure of the tutor team; improving relevant mechanisms, and enhancing the effectiveness of learning and guidance, etc.
