Objective:Children metabolic syndrome (MS) has an increasing trend, and greatly affect childre-n’s health. With the changing of the environment, lifestyle and diet, MS prevalencenot only be found in adulthood, even high blood pressure, dyslipidemia syndrome, Ⅱdiabetes, IR and other traditional adult cardiovascular risk factors has been extendingto thecrowd of children and adolescents. There events has caused widespread concern. There are some research studies have shown that in children’s growth and developme-nt period, physical activity(PA) is thought to be the essntial factors of maintaininghealthy. So PA is the best activity. It is very important to improve the situation ofinsufficient PA of children and adolescents, and prevent the incidence of MS. Thecurrent domestic studies of physical activity and children’s MS are relatively few. Thispaper surveys and research in the adolescent stage of school-age students daily levelof physical activity and its metabolic indicators, and provide a basis to improve theincidence of MS in children and adolescents.Method:Tianjin thirty-second Middle School Lakeside Middle School12-15years old studentsof193people, including90boys and103girls; morphological index of all subjects, including height, weight, waist circumference, BMImeasurement; blood biochemicalparameters including blood pressure, fasting glucose, serum triglycerides, serum totalcholesterol, high density lipoprotein, low density lipoprotein index test; subjects iskeeping wear GT3X accelerometer for seven days to measure the level of physical activity; Physical Activity Questionnaire and the seven-day physical activity diaryevaluation of physical activity.Results:1.12-15age group youngsters MS detection rate is5.18%, which the boys detectionrate is6.67%, the girls detection rate is3.88%.2. Only12-13-year-old boys’groupreach the Moderate-to-vigorous intensity physical activity which is recommend bymany literatures, the rest of the groups did not. In the12-15year-old, along with theage growth, the Moderate-to-vigorous intensity physical activity time decline trend.3.Physical activity energy consumption, the Moderate-to-vigorous intensity physicalactivity was negatively correlated with blood pressure, waist circumference, and it waspositively correlated with HDL. The activity time of the normal weight group wassignificantly higher than the overweight group’s and obese group’s.Different MSgroups of physical activity were significantly different, the MS detected group’sphysical activity time, physical activity, energy consumption is significantly less thanthe normal group.Conclusions:1. The lack of physical activity is an important cause of the high incidence of MS. Inthe12-15age group, the metabolic indicators of abnormal sit is too long, the time forthe Moderate-to-vigorous intensity physical activity is not enough, and the energyconsumption of daily physical activity is too low.2. This phenomenon should beconcern. This study suggests that children and adolescents’ physical activity level is aimportant factor for preventing and controling MS.3. In this study, a scientific andobjective acceleration sensors to measure the level of physical activity of adolescentsin the12-15age group, level of physical activity of children and adolescents ofmeasurement and evaluation to provide the data base.
