With the further deepening of the new curriculum reform, the way of teaching English isolatedfrom the actual life has been eliminated by the times. In English teaching, more and more attentionhas been paid to language application. In the English class,the teachers need to use the languagenot only in practice, but also to guide the students to learn by doing tasks.However, because ofthe limitation of PEP school book, the new curriculum standard asks the teacher to use theteaching materials creatively. Due to the particularity of primary school children’s physiologicaland psychological stage, interesting English teaching stories became the necessary part of primaryschool English teaching. And has But how to properly use the stories to let the story telling EnglishTeaching play a strong and supporting role effectively in the English teaching is a problem formany English teachers. This subject stood on the view of the ordinary primary school Englishteachers and explored the mode of “Three–direction”Story-telling English teaching, which meansto create suitable and interesting English teaching stories before the class, to guide the studentsefficiently during the class, and to evaluate the students in order to encourage them and help themto learn English smoothly.In the story-creating process, the author combines many wonderful examples of classroomteaching based on the PEP teaching material, elaborated according to the different class typessuch as vocabulary, dialogue and discourse teaching. In the guidance section, the authorsummarizes the ways of how to start a story-telling class and how to guide the students during theclass. In the process, the author includes a variety of evaluation methods of formative evaluationand summative evaluation and how to make the evaluation to be effective means to maintain andmotivate students interest in learning.
