| As an important means of cultivating scientific literacy for middle school students, theBiology practical activity is an important part of the comprehensive practice activity and theSchool-based curriculum. On the basis of overview of the domestic and international relevanttheoretical exploration and practical exploration, This thesis selected ShiQiao QiaoCheng MiddleSchool in Panyu Guangzhou as the research object, The development, implementation mode andeffect of school-based curriculum about biology and environment in junior middle school arestudied.The main results showed as follows.91.3%of the junior middle school students areinterested in biological and environmental practices, and88.9%of teachers think it is necessaryto develop biological activities of school-based curriculum. However, due to the restriction ofeducation environment, the number of students who think it is necessary to develop school-basedcurriculum decreased from88.5%in Grade One down to60.9%in Grade Three, and66.3%ofstudents think selective school-based curriculum courses can aggravate their study burden. Theinvestment of time and energy of teachers is limited.The practice content and curriculum development closely combining the Panyu localresources of biology and environment can well suit comprehensive, practical and generativeprincipals of development goal design of school-based curriculum. The practice activity contentrelated to the Panyu district could develop into four modules, and further, a school-basedtextbook about the garden plants, vegetables in Panyu district were written for the middle school.The school-based curriculum can implement with five steps, e.g. implementation of theplan--determine the object--choose the way to implement--screening course content-combinationof evaluation methods. Under the theme “biological and environmentâ€, different types ofbiological activities such as theme of explore, practice, visiting, comprehend practices couldimplement with different strategies and steps. The works display with comments method,quantitative evaluation with qualitative method can reflect principle of evaluation of the newcurriculum standard "based on process, promoting development".The achievements of students from the Shiqiao QiaoCheng Middle School in biologicalcomprehensive practice activity comparison, open test, science and technology innovationcontest, etc, combination with interviewing of teachers and students, show that the developmentand implementation of school-based curriculum of biology practical activity in junior middleschool have significantly improved the students’ scientific literacy, enriched the students’ biologyemotion, improved teachers’ professional quality and formed discipline characteristics. This alsoexplains the biological and environmental practice school-based curriculum successfully complete the course goal, and reached the desired effect. On the other hand, difficulties anddeficiencies in the development and implementation process of school-based curriculum wererethought, and suggestions from school, teacher and student aspects are proposed. |
