Research On Citizen Consciousness In The Environment Of Network New Media

The popularity of the network new media affects and changes the interpersonal communication, ideas and even the thought pattern, thus builds a brand-new environment of learning, working and living. Citizen consciousness is the psychological foundation of modern political civilization and is the culture basis of the modern country under the rule of law. The report of the17th CPC National Congress proposed to strengthen education about citizenship and establish the concept about socialist democracy and the rule of law, freedom and equal, fairness and justice, which declare the importance of citizen consciousness and the Party attaches great to citizen consciousness. As a special group of citizens, college students are important successors and builders of the socialist cause and this special status determines the necessity, importance and urgency of educate college students’ citizen consciousness.In addition, as a major part of China’s netizen, college students have the features like curiosity, receive new things fast, high enthusiasm, strong expression of desire, which is an important prerequisite for this study.This study explores the action mechanism of the cultivation of college students’ citizen consciousness in the environment of network new media from the analysis of network characteristics of the new media, the intention of citizen consciousness and the intrinsic link of network new media and citizen consciousness, and reveals the new media environment students citizen consciousness characteristics:first, cultivate host-guest relationship has the feature of interactive; second, cultivate function has the feature of diversity; third, cultivate environment has the feature of open; fourth, cultivate pattern has the feature of equal and democratic. Network new media’ massive sexual and immediacy to provide adequate information base; interactive wake students’ rights and participation consciousness; equality spawned students’ independent personality; pluralism boost students’ independent thinking。 At last, this thesis makes a description of college students citizen consciousness in network environment and analyses the causes and puts forward four construct methods combine the mutual relations of network new media and citizen consciousness. The four construct methods as follows:First, to spread network civic culture; second, to improve media literacy of college students; third, to construct healthy and active network of public domain; fourth, to reasonable regulation of cyberspace.
