Training And Research Of Citizen Consciousness In College Students' Education

Citizen consciousness is an expressive form of social consciousness. It contains the rich and deep ideological content, it is a kind of self-awareness which formed by citizen's master responsibility, social mission and collectivism responsibility. College students are fresh troops for socialist cause, constructors and successors of our motherland in the future. Training them to set up better citizen consciousness and strengthening their socail sense responsibility are obligatory for college moral education workers. The paper attempts to analyze the present college students'education status of citizen consciousness, and to find out the method of how to set up citizen consciousness in ideological and political education, so as to improve students' citizen consciousness continuously .China's education of citizen consciousness started late. After the < CPC central committee about the program for improving civic morality > published in 2001, the education was developing. The paper uses historical and documental analysis, explains the origin of citizen and its education and the relation of citizen consciousness education and ideological and political education: inclusiveness in containing, intercommunity in aiming and their communion in many ways. On this, it put forward the significance of developing the students'citizen consciousness education: it is not only the important content of college ideological and political education, but also the basis and the core, it relates directly to the effectiveness of ideological and political education resultsIn the process of our country's all-round construction of the socialist and harmonious society, raising citizen consciousness is the theme of ideological and political education in college. It is the transformation of rational college education, and is also the needs of the training target for socialist talents and the development of college students themselves, Therefore, it is necessary to find out the reasons and the weaknesses of the existence, according to the actual situation of college students, and to solve the problems existed in the process of university students'citizenship education targeted.Through the college students'education programs and the analysis of the problems, the paper expounds the methods of developing citizen consciousness education in college ideological and political education. Firstly, to strengthen the construction of the main channel of college students' citizen consciousness; secondly, to enhance the construction of campus culture and social practice; thirdly, to combine citizenship education and the student management; lastly, to innovate the carrier and the method in education of citizen consciousness. Contemporary college students citizen consciousness education must stick to four combined: dominant education and recessive education combined; universality and individuality combined; the external constraints and education system of main moral self-consciousness combined; school and family combined.
