For the multi-ethnic country, the national question is related to nationalsovereignty, territorial integrity and social stability, border consolidation, economicdevelopment and national unity of all ethnic groups of the question. The existence ofethnic issues and ethnic conflicts have occurred, leading to international tensions andinstability in global economic growth, an important factor. Our country is constitutedby the56ethnic multi-ethnic country, ethnic problem is more complex, the ability toproperly handle the ethnic issue is related to the fate of the country to embark onpolicy. Thus, we can recognize that for our country such a multi-ethnic country, dealwith ethnic issues, grasp the development direction of the mainstream national history,culture proper sense of national identity and sense of belonging is very important.Establish the correct sense of national identity and sense of belonging everycitizen of our country, including young students should have the basic literacy.Secondary stage is the gradual awakening of national consciousness and perceptionperiod, is the national self-esteem, self-confidence, pride consciousness graduallyforming period. Advocacy of national policies on the students, to establish a correcteducation of their national consciousness, feelings, and conservation of the Chinesespirit, are what all educators, including historical responsibility of educators.Therefore, specific to the teaching of history, the history of ethnic relations in schoolhistory teaching content in an extremely important position and role.Based on the teaching of history in teaching about the history of ethnic relationsresearch, in order to establish a systematic and logical, while the theory of ethnicrelations, ethnic relations and ethnic educational practice knowledge combine to betterunderstand and effectively guide the teaching practice. Thesis is divided into threeparts: introduction, body and conclusion. Preface contains topics sources significanceof the topic and academic history reviewed. The text is divided into four parts, the firstpart of the nation on topics related to ethnic relations and defines the concept; second,third and fourth part is the subject of this article, this article explains the history of ethnic relations school teaching the significance of the main content as well as waysand means. Authors believe that effective classroom students to acquire knowledge notonly in the classroom, students should also be training the mind, emotionssublimation, character formation in the classroom. This requires teachers of historythrough the history of ethnic relations teaching research, students of national identityand national belonging, grasp the direction of the mainstream of national developmenthistory, and promote the country’s stability and prosperity.
