In recent years, private education in China has been experiencing a remarkablerapid development. XD Education Group, as a typical private education group, has beenexperiencing a remarkable rapid development too. After20years’ effort, XD EducationGroup has been turned from one training school to a multi-level educational institutioncontaining7secondary vocational schools and two basic educational schools. It hastotal fixed assets over six billion Yuan, including the houses and buildings, officeequipment, teaching equipment, dining and apartment building, trees and other fixedassets. In XD Education Group,7schools were originally state-owned. To smoothlyrealize the transition from state-owned to private, the original school staff andmanagement are basically unchanged. And such is the same with the assets. This causesdirectly some serious problems, for instance, poor management, unreasonable fixedassets structure, not professional staff; serious loss of assets and so on.With the development and reform of private education system, there will be morerequirements for the management of XD Education Group, and the fixed assetsmanagement, as an important part of the group management, need to be optimizedimmediately.This paper takes the fixed assets management of XD Education Group as theresearch object, analyzing the current status of its fixed assets management, probing intoits problems and causes, and putting forward measures to optimize the fixed assetsmanagement. The measures include introducing computerized management of fixedassets to realize dynamic management and monitoring, establishing a training plan forthe fixed assets management team, improving the fixed assets management system,standardizing daily work of fixed assets management, strengthening the budgetmanagement, establishing and perfecting the personnel supervision and examination.The writer hopes that these measures will help to solve the problems in fixed assetsmanagement of XD Education Group. Thus the efficient use of fixed assets willcontribute better to the development of XD Education Group.
