At present, cultivating university spirit has become the consensus of many colleges and universities. Especially for those "the bright younger generation" of the new undergraduate colleges is more important.In this paper, based on a mass of data, and follows the questions, analyze issues and solve problems, by qualitative analysis, this paper expounds the connotation of the university spirit, characteristics, function of the basic theory, as well as the university spirit in the development of the newly-built universities plays an important role; secondly, combining the current our country the new status of spiritual cultivation and construction of bachelor’s degree colleges, analyzes the process of spiritual cultivation and construction of Newly-built University in the achievements and problems; then, based on discussing the new spirit of bachelor’s degree colleges lack of performance, to analyze its causes; finally, cultivate the Newly-built University spirit countermeasures and suggestions have been put forward from three aspects of academic construction, system construction, the construction of campus culture.Through this study, the summary and analysis of China’s current new universities university spirit construction status, lack of performance and the reason, countermeasure, provides some suggestions and solving way of thinking can hope to many of our new undergraduate colleges cultivating university spirit and construction work, to shape the spirit of the University, form their own school characteristics as soon as possible, so as to improve their own "soft power" and the overall competitiveness, to achieve a certain cultural status in the international competition among colleges and universities.
