| Student-centered Education is based on the theory “all for the students, highly respectstudents, fully rely on the students†for the purpose. It advocates independent learning inmany ways, including personal learning, group learning and class learning.It encourages thestudents to learn before the class, and demands the teachers should decide the contents ofcourses according to the levels of students and should teach less to make the students learnmore.Chemistry is based on experiments. So how to carry out chemical experiment teachingunder the mode of Student-centered Education is the problem which chemistry teachers face.This thesis, on the basis of describing the basic theory of Student-centered Education,parses the student-centered classroom teaching organization mode and operation process,which also analyzes the experiments in the existing teaching materials and puts forwardteaching suggestions. In this paper, the author, based on the fresh students of high school asthe example, carries out the student-centered classroom chemical experiment teachingresearch by comparing the students in the experimental class with those in general educationclass and combining the reality of student-centered classroom teaching in the school, andconstructs the student-centered chemical experiment teaching mode, according to the students’actual levels, the teaching contents and experimental conditions, and the reasonableapplication of multi-media assisted teaching.Student-centered teaching experiment shows that the students’ behaviors and academicperformance are improved. Student-centered chemistry classroom is more conducive tomotivate students’ interests in learning chemistry, to improve the participation of chemicalexperiments, to promote the students’ ability to cooperate and explore and to enhance theirscientific literacy. This paper can provide some useful reference for the student-centeredchemical experiment teaching. |
