. With the enhancement of our national strength, the increase of the social wealth and thegrowth of people’s awareness of health, more and more people participate in public fitnessactivities. Combined with the functions of fitness, entertainment and leisure, roller skating hasgradually become a sport which is helpful to all ages. For children, it not only plays the roleof fitness, the game can also improve their comprehensive quality by bringing a joyful spirit,enhancing self-confidence, relieving pressure and eliminating nervousness, etc. The literaturereview shows present lack of study on children’s clubs, and thus this paper providestheoretical basis for later research on children’s clubs. This study has conducted a survey onthe teaching status in children’s roller skating clubs in Shijiazhuang city by adopting themethods of interview, questionnaire, mathematical statistics, etc. and the findings andcorresponding suggestions are as follows:Findings1. The children’s roller skating clubs in Shijiazhuang city mainly exist in two forms, oneof which is composed of public stadium and gymnasium, skating equipment sales companyand professional sports training company, the other of which consists of small, less formaltemporary training class held by college students or roller skating enthusiasts,. At present, theuneven teaching level of the clubs has a serious impact on the development of teaching ofchildren’s roller skating.2. In children’s roller skating clubs in Shijiazhuang city there is a50%or so gap betweennumber of boys and girls and children’s age ranges from four to nine.3. The investigation into the teaching situation of the clubs shows they do not put enoughemphasis on teaching. There is a lack of professional teaching materials on children’s rollerskating and a scientific evaluation system of teaching. The coaches adopt mostly thetraditional teaching methods and he teaching effect is not obvious.4. Children’s roller skating clubs in Shijiazhuang city do not have enough excellentprofessional skating coaches. There is a gender imbalance among the coaches. The overallteaching level and teaching attitude needs to be improved. Besides, there is no skating training and exchanges for the coaches.5. The teaching space of the clubs focuses on parks, plazas and other public venues.There is a lack of professional and safe space for roller skating, which seriously restricts thedevelopment of teaching activities for children’s roller skating.Suggestions1. The related functional departments of government should strengthen the regulations ofsports training industry, support outstanding training companies and set up regular rollerskating associations.2. A communication mechanism between clubs and students’ parents should beestablished to reduce the flow of students.3. The roller skating teaching material construction and coach team construction shouldbe strengthened. Teaching methods should be optimized and a scientific teaching evaluationsystem should be set up.4. The cooperation and exchanges between social skating roller skating organizationsshould be strengthened. Roller skating should be publicized via various media. All kinds ofcompetitions and related activities should be organized for the popularization and promotionof roller skating.5. Clubs should solve the problem of insufficient funds through loans and other methodsto intensify the construction of roller skating. The related government departments shouldpublish policies that guide schools to open gradually sports venues and facilities to thecommunity so as to relieve the shortage of public sports facilities.
