In the report of the Seventeenth Party Congress putted forward clearly for the first timethat "to strengthen and improve ideological and political work, focusing on humanistic careand psychological counseling". Which made the new request and pointed out the newdirection for strengthening and improving ideological and political education work in the newperiod. The "Micro-era" brings challenge to the ideological and political education, alsoprovides new opportunities for humanistic care in the ideological and political education ofuniversity students at the same time. Therefore, sizing up the situation and opportunity, takingstrengths of the "Micro-era" to complement the weaknesses of humanistic care in practice,studying of humanistic care in the ideological and political education of university students in“Micro-era” is an important topic in the study of the theory and practice of Ideological andpolitical education of university students in the new period.This article discusses from the definition and characteristics of the "Micro-era", and thepositive and negative effects of "Micro-era" on university Students. Based on the explanationof the basic connotation of humanistic care in the ideological and political education ofuniversity students, analyses the current situation in the practice of humanistic care in theideological and political education of university students by practical investigation, especiallyrecognizing and identifying the problems, gaps and deficiencies of humanistic care in practice.Based on that, discussing the new development opportunities, basic principles and practicalexploration for humanistic care in the ideological and political education of universitystudents in “Micro-era”.
