In the vast human civilization history, there are many inventions and creations have a great influence to our society.The written words, which is one of the most brilliant pearl in it.The appearance of written words is the symbol of human civilization beginning. It is an important part of national culture, it is the accumulation of national culture, and it also makes the national culture much more connotation. The process of learning a kind of written words is the process to understand the nation’s culture. The special relationship between language and culture makes it be one of the most important tools to transmit the nation culture. Therefore, if we want to understand the culture of a nation, we must learn the language and the written words of it first. It is so supreme that the position of written words in a national culture.To our Chinese, Chinese language is our mother tongue, Chinese characters, is the written words of our national. Chinese characters have a long history. It is broad and profound and it is also an important tool of the transmitting Chinese culture, it is the crystallization of the great culture of Chinese nation. We are proud to our national culture, we are proud to our long history written words, too. If we want to know the culture of the Chinese nation, if we want to spread the five thousand years history and knowledge to the world, we must learn the Chinese language words--Chinese characters first. Because of this, learning and studying Chinese characters have is becoming more and more meaningful.As a Chinese language worker and teacher, it is realistic and meaningful for us to study and research how to teach Chinese characters to students better. The number of Chinese character is large, and the structure of it is complex. Ever since ancient times, how to grasp quite a number of Chinese characters in the shortest time has been constantly explored and researched. Now, we are in the twenty-first Century, the literacy teaching is still the priority part among priorities primary school language teaching. It is the focus of many primary school Chinese educators and researchers. When we are teaching Chinese language and words, we ourselves are learning and studying Chinese culture, too. Researches on literacy teaching, not only can enhance our understanding of the culture of Chinese characters, but also is conducive to children’s future reading and writing. It is good to developing their language ability and intelligence as well. At the same time, with the advent of the computer age, it’s convenient for computer workers to study literacy teaching.Researching on Chinese characters and literacy teaching is benefit too much. Therefore, since ancient times, Chinese literacy teaching has been the focus of people’s research and the exploration. Especially after1949, our country conducted several large-scale experiments about teaching literacy, the achievement is very great. Among them, the influential have concentrated literacy, the spread of literacy, phonetic literacy, Radical-Group-Text, word literacy, rhythmical language literacy and so on. Each kind of literacy teaching method was developed in the different time background, have a different emphasis on its own, and also has its own advantages. Under the background of the new curriculum reform, exploration and Research on teaching literacy is still the focus. We study not only its current problems but also how to solve these problems, how to better use the teaching method, how to improve the efficiency of literacy teaching. We are focus on a more long-term, on some macro concept and theory, In teaching, we focus on the humanistic idea, pay attention to cultivate the students’ overall language ability, cultural literacy, aesthetic taste and the correct outlook on life, values and so on. Our education is for the life development and comprehensive development of each individual. Therefore, we not only study the teaching of literacy, the culture of Chinese characters, research methods to improve the teaching efficiency, but also shoulder the great mission of promoting the all-round development healthy of the next generation.
