The Study Of The Charity Activities Of CBA

With thecontinuous developmentofsocial responsibilitycampaign in the world,charityisbecomingan integral partofthesports culture, a growing number ofsportsorganizations andathletesactively participate incharityactivities, ithas become some oftrend andessential to participate incharityactivities inthesports.The research objects of this paper are63original reports from the media, whichare about CBA carrying out charity activities fromJanuary,2005toSeptember,2012.This paper makes a study, applying the methods of documentation, case analysisand content analysis. The paper are trying to clearlyunderstand thestatus quoof CBAcarrying out charity activities, to find theproblems and shortcomingsfacedbyCBAincarrying out charity activities, to put forwardcountermeasures andsuggestionsfor improvement, and toprovide a referenceforCBAto carryoutcharitable activities betterand relatedresearch.This paper consists seven chapters: Thechapter1is the introduction,includingthree partsofresearch background and significance, literature reviewanddefining related concepts; The content of Chapter2is about research objects,researchtasksand research methods; Thethirdchapter dissertates the necessity ofprofessional sports leaguesto carry out charityactivities, mainlyfromthetwoperspectivesofsocialresponsibilityandmarketing; The chapter4isastudy on the statusquo ofCBAcarrying out charitable activities;The content of Chapter5isthecomparative analysis of CBA and NBA, as for carrying out charity activities; Thesixthchapteris about problemsof CBA carrying out charity activitiesandsuggestionsforimprovement; The chapter7istheconclusion.Theconclusions drawninthisarticle mainly are:(1) from2005to2012,thenumberofcharity activities annually undertakenby CBAtended to increase on thewhole, it has becomeconvention and tradition to carry outcharity activities duringCBA Star weekendto;(2)most of charity activities are carriedoutbyCBAineconomically more developedprovinces and citiesinChina;(3) themanifestations of contributions ofCBA charity activities to society is donating money,contributing items andvolunteer service;(4) CBA charity activities involve sevenareas: education, disaster relief, helping the weak,sports,culture, environmentalprotection, poverty alleviation;(5)most of CBA charity activities are undertaken in acooperative manner, the others are carried out independently;(6) people helped inCBA charity activities are divided into collectiveor individualrecipients.thecharityactivitiesaccounted forthevast majority, in which people helped arecollectiverecipients;(7)Chinesebasketball Association, CBA clubs, CBA players,CBA partners all made a contribution to carrying outcharitable activities, ChineseBasketball Associationmadethe greatest contribution;(8) original reports aboutCBAcarrying outcharity activitieshavetwosources: newspapers and websites, thereports from newspapersaccountsforthe vast majority.
