This paper systematically investigated related factors and presentsituation of traditional sports school’s training and studying, discussing the advantageand deficency of traditional school sports as an important base for athletics sportstalents cultivation. In order to meet the demand for the twenty-first Century talents,“training and studying” emerge as the times require in the traditional school sports,explore the effective combination of “learning” and “training”, which can provide somereference for cultivating more comprehensive adolescent athletes.Using the literature, questionnire survey, interview, mathematical statistics andother research methods, through to survey combination of “learning” and “training” oftraditional sports school in Yibin, interview and survey the teachers and coaches, drawthe following conclusion: the sports project settings is not balanced in Yibin city,highlight their advantage projects and sports professional test project, while ignoringthe comprehensive training of personnel. Now, traditional sports school’s “learning”and “training” combined condition is not good, the majority of schools only staysurface layer, and no substantive breakthrough. Culture class has no unified syllabus asa traditional project school culture course, courses are single, the textbooks are forentrance examination. The teacher has also shown a disequilibrium, the proportion ofyoung teacher slightly higher, the age structure of coaches are reasonable, but someitems are very lack. The opportunities of training are fewer, fund source is single.Student’s learning quality is low, the reasons are learning motivation, which focused ontraining, and learn basic uneven. Teaching form is single, the learning management andtutorial system is not perfect.The survey also showed, culture class teacher’s age structure is young, educatedstructure is reasonable, the attitude of teaching work is good, but also lack teachingexperience. At the same time, the caoch’s age structure is reasonable, but the sportsexperience is deficiency. The training and continue to learn is not enough. The overalllevel of athletes is not high, student’s studying is not good, learning and trainingcontradiction intense.
