English listening and speaking teaching is an important content and part of junior English teaching. With the development of the age and the progress of the society, teachers and students have realized the importance of training English listening and speaking ability. In fact, they are looking for the effective tool to improve listening and speaking ability. In the meantime, newly emerging, reading techniques appear. Since the products are introduced, the society and parents have paid more attention to it. Its effect on English teaching has become one of the top topics.How can reading techniques affect junior students’listening and speaking ability? Can it influence junior English language learning and teaching? How shall they use reading techniques correctly in listening and speaking teaching and strengthen the role of reading techniques in English listening and speaking training.This manuscript discusses the English listening and speaking phenomenon by means of both the theoretic analysis and questionnaire together. Based on the survey study of a middle school in development Zone, get to know the base condition of junior student English learning and test their English. Then by means of both the questionnaire and teaching experience, discuss the use of reading techniques, research the changes on the base condition of junior student English learning and test their English again. Real survey and basic data show the changes in junior English listening and speaking teaching after the use of reading techniques. The whole essay is divided into three chapters. Chapter One is to include the background, the value and the significance of this study; to introduce the current situation of English listening and speaking in this field in and out China, and definitions of related concepts in this study; to discuss the methodology for this study, and the aim of this study. Chapter Two is the experimental research on the use of reading techniques in junior English listening and speaking teaching, and the analysis of test paper and survey. The result of the research is indicated that:1. The reading pen helps students form good pronunciation and intonation and improve their listening and speaking ability.2. The reading pen improves the students’interest in learning English.3. The reading pen has an effect on training students’self-study ability and strengthening language knowledge.4. The reading pen can help teachers to improve teaching ability. Chapter Three gives some suggestions to apply the reading pen and show some advice for further research:1. Teaching needs to be thought totally.2. Teachers need to renew the concept and lift their level.3. Add the oral exam to enrich English learning assessment system.4. Don’t depend on the reading techniques too much.After plenty of teachers and the education communities continue to explore and practice, junior English teaching will certainly meet the spring of hope in the near future.
