The idea and faith education is the core of the ideological and politicaleducation,relating to the state and nation’s future and destiny.In new historicalconditions, how to improve the effectiveness of College Students’ ideal and faitheducation,ideological and political education of workers is urgent problem. In thispaper,by Marx Lenin,Mao Zedong thought,Deng Xiaoping’s theory,”ThreeRepresents” and the scientific outlook on development as guidance,studies anddiscusses the related problems of College Students’ ideal and faith in the effectivenessof.The article is divided into five parts:The first part: the concept related to the effectiveness of the education of idealand faith. This part mainly analyzed the ideal and faith; ideal and faith; the educationof ideal and faith; the effectiveness of the education of ideal and belief. Mainlydiscussed primarily the ideals and faith of the effectiveness.The second part: the efficiency of ideal and faith education evaluation criteria.This part mainly carries on the elaboration from two aspects: one is the ideal and faitheducation requirements can be consistent with social development. This is thefundamental evaluation criteria to measure the effectiveness of the education of idealand faith. The two is the content of ideal and faith education characteristics andeducational objects can adapt. This is an important evaluation criterion of theeffectiveness of the education of ideal and faith.The third part: the main factors affecting the effectiveness of College Students’ideal and faith education. This part mainly from social factors: the negative effect ofthe influence of the social climate and market economy; school factors; imbalance ofschool education utilitarianism and school education team; family factors: familyeducation concept “Deviation” and family education environment “erosion”; studentsthe main factors: the student main body quality difference, students’cognitivelimitations and the students’ main body choice blindness from such four aspects as themain influence on the education of ideal and faith factors are analyzed and discussed.The fourth part: the basic principles of ideal and faith education of collegestudents should follow. The part discussed the basic principles of ideal and faitheducation should follow from four aspects: the combination of the theory with thepractice; progressiveness and universality combined; subjectivity and socialcombination; education and self-education combined.The fifth part: the realization of the effectiveness of College Students’ ideal andfaith education. This part from five aspects and puts forward the ways to realize theeffectiveness of College Students’ ideal and faith education: consolidating thedominant position of Marxism Leninism, to guide their ideals and faiths withscientific theories; respecting students’ subject status, to stimulate the ideals and faithsof college students by the reasonable needs; to enhance the overall quality of teachers,students read the letter to lead the ideal with noble morality; education function ofoptimizing the educational environment, the ideal and faith atmosphere creationstudents good; transfer effect of comprehensive education, with a variety of forms to improve the ideals and faiths of College Students’ education. This is the point of thisthesis, also is the innovation spot of this article.
