In the modern emotion theory, anxiety is considered as one of the important emotional factorsaffecting behavior and thinking. The goal of this study is to evaluate the anxiety problems ofhigh school students in English learning, and to provide a preliminary basis for anxiety systemicresearch in high school education.This study is based on the platform of high school English teaching, the affective filterhypothesis and the theory of language input hypothesis and humanistic theory, trying to find outthe causes of anxiety of students in senior high school English teaching that may currently existin our country and its Countermeasures. The author intends to combine the school sunshine classwith teaching methods to eliminate the students’ anxiety.This research takes some students in the Experimental Middle School in Zoucheng City Shandong province as its subjects. Aspects of the research methodology of this study includequestionnaires, interviews and tracking contrast manifestations. The reasons of anxiety,proportion of distribution and elimination measures were carried out for survey and analysis ofhigh school English Learning. The results show that there is a certain amount of anxiety in thehigh school students, the ratio is about40%. And the sex, age, grades level and familybackground can affect the production of anxiety and manifestations. Boys are more likely tohave anxiety than girls, and high grade level students higher than lower grade because of thecollege entrance examination. It also showed a rising trend. Interestingly, the anxiety ratio of therural students is higher than the ones from urban areas.According to the research findings combined with the author’s years of teaching experience, thesenior high school English learning anxiety were studied mainly from the causes andeliminating measures among high school students. The author wants to find a way to put thecountermeasures in use in sunshine class and find out the effective methods to reduce students’English learning anxiety.’Sunshine Class" has become a hot topic of research in Jining city inrecent years. It takes "learn to know, learn to be, learn to live, learn to innovate" as its target,intending to combine school, family, society, nature four in one. It aims to create a vibrantatmosphere of learning by using interactive inquiry and let the students experience thehappiness sunshine teaching mode. The sunshine education wakes up feelings, and makeslearning process pleasant to promote the all-round development of students. The main measures include increasing students’ interest in English class, the classcohesion policy, improvement of evaluation methods, using multimedia teaching, the teachingcase, group cooperative teaching and a series of specific teaching methods. Experimental resultsshow that, since the implementation of the "Sunshine Class", students’ foreign languagelearning anxiety has been significantly reduced to20%. It shows that the change in teachingmethods, the implementation of the "Sun Class" education can effectively alleviate the studentsin English learning anxiety.
