The United States is a multiracial country of immigration, due to its specialhistory,the United States becomes a country of diversification.Its multiculturalcharacter reflected in every aspect of the United States.Chanting reform of China’scollege entrance examination system in the tide of summaring the enrollment systemof multi-variable evaluation of the United States,to provide reference for the reform ofChina’s college entrance examination system. This paper mainly consists of fourparts:Part I:Introduction.This part includes the reason of choosing this topic,significance,the relevant definition of the concept of purpose,summary of researchand the research methods.Part II:The history of the multi-variable evaluation admission system of theUnited States. From the establishment of Harvard College in1636to individualselection system in1861during the civil war, and from the civil war to the system ofcertificate acceptance in late19thcentury and early20thcentury and the multi-variableevaluation system from the20thcentury.Part III:Basis of colleges and universities enrollment system of multi-variableevaluation in the United States.This part illustrates the colleges and universitiesenrollment system of multi-variable evaluation based on the perspectives of thepolitics、economy and culture. The theoretical basis of the multi-variable evaluation inthe United States is also analysed in this part from the theory of multiple intelligence.Part IV:The current situation of university enrollment system of multi-variableevaluation in the United States.The analysis first goes to the current situation of theUnited States,followed by relevant case study、a summary of the features andaccomplishment of the multi-variable evaluation,and an analysis of the existingproblems.Part V:The enlightement of multi-variable evaluation on the reform of collegeentrance examination in China.
