With the development of modern, comprehensive development of talent urgent need togradually increase to improve the level of education is an urgent matter. Improving thequality of teachers is the key to education reform. Newcurriculum to fundamentally change the original concept and curriculum system, had a strongimpact on the traditional curriculum and teaching activities, the implementation of a neweducational philosophy, mathematics teaching goals, ultimately have to rely on the teacher tocomplete This update of the teacher education philosophy and curriculum practice reformpresented new challenges. Teachers must take the initiative to change the traditionalphilosophy of education and teaching methods, no longer do Jiaoshu Jiang, but to be theeducator student a Kai beacon on the road ahead.Function is one of the most important knowledge in mathematics learning, his ideas andmethods throughout the entire mathematical learning always. Understanding of the functionconcept and function reflect mathematical ideas and methods, and learn to functionviewpoints and methods to solve mathematical problems and practical issues, the mostimportant tasks in the mathematics learning. Function concept as well as the highly abstractsymbols making it the most difficult to grasp the concept of the high school stage.This paper based on the research in teaching as the carrier of the action theory ofeducation, through the small M rural middle school mathematics teachers in the teachingprocess of the concept of "function", from the teaching practice of entry to rethink again afterthe modification of practice and further improvement in the process of the problems andimproving the way and method, from the individual learning, school environment, classroompractice and student development analysis summarizes the four aspects of the influence ofteachers’ professional growth:(1)The enquiry is in the process of the specialization of motivation. In practice,reflection, and colleagues explore teaching goals, teaching methods, improve their classroommode, teaching bold attempt group, in fully mobilize the enthusiasm of the students at the same time also prompted small M constantly strive to improve their professionalknowledge and professional skills. If a person in teaching and research, so he will furtherimprove the teaching effect.(2)The school environment is also an important factor to influence teachers’specialization. Schools to the attention of the young teachers to continue education degree,directly affects the busy teachers have time and motivation to improve myself. School lessonwith heterogeneous competition let the young teachers and old teachers listen to mutual, morecan promote the teachers’ self-reflection; Schools for teachers’ researching ability andprofessional skills will certainly help teachers insist on lifelong learning, trying to makeyourself to grow to more professional education workers.(3) Changing the teachers’ teaching with traditional teaching to guide students toindependent thinking, to explore, did it really take the student as the main body, really takethe student as the center. From the side of the living example to let the students to feel thefunction of the independent variables change caused the change of the function value, so thatthe students understanding of the abstract concept of function with visualization, fullyunderstand the sign function. When small M realized in teaching design will have to find amore suitable and more think more close to the practice of the students questions to guidestudents from existing knowledge system on the basis of constructing the new knowledge.(4)Small M from the function, the concept of teaching after the detection accuracy anderror-prone points after can easily see that group teaching students’ understanding of theconcepts of the function is more profound.
