Professionalization is the trend of teacher education development in the world and it is also a need and a direction for teacher education reform in China. In China, teacher education has achieved some; the development of teacher's profession is drawing people's attention, especially the teachers from primary and secondary schools. Government and schools have established corresponding systems in the development of teacher's profession, but, it is becoming common that people of non-teachers professional of diploma becomes teachers, which makes teacher's specialization and teacher's education of reality not optimistic. With the implementation of new English fundamental education reform, education on foreign language teaching at all levels in our country is paid more and more attention to, and we also focus on education and research on foreign language teachers. Clearly, the development of foreign language teacher education research is the focus of the focus in this area. Specialization of teachers is to fulfill duties, to complete the task of education and teaching of ideological morality, education, cultural knowledge and educational capacity sum of various qualities. And there is a dialectical relationship between the new curriculum and teachers. Specialization of English teachers has become the key to the success of new curriculum reform. There is a large gap between the requirements of the new curriculum and the qualities of the teachers. Therefore, the study based on the theoretical research and the investigation, investigating on the current qualities of English teachers, and it tells us how to improve the quality of English teachers in the new curriculum thinking.This article with the background of new curriculum reform in our country, concerning about the trend of curriculum reform at home and abroad and the special requirements of teachers, in the new curriculum reform which is under the condition of professional qualities of English teachers and they should have made an in-depth study. I believe that, under the conditions of the new curriculum reform, professional qualities of English teachers:Advanced basic knowledge, linguistic knowledge, teaching skills, the ability to cross cultural awareness and intercultural communication, teaching, scientific research and creative ability. English teachers should possess these professional quality English educations which are drawing experts'wide concern. In addition, in practice, however the position of the teachers change, there is only higher demand for professional qualities of English teachers. Teachers' professional development is topic that has the theoretical meaning and the value of the practice. This article start from the analysis of teacher's professional development practice, and actively explores the direction of English teacher education reform and development, to provide a view to promoting the professional development of English teachers and improve the professional level of English teachers. The research used literature research method, and interview method, and questionnaire investigation and race learn research, method to actual understanding middle school English teachers of quality structure, and teaching status, and teaching process in the exists of problem and the causes, and understanding the obstacles and demand of middle school English teachers specialization development, for current Middle School English teachers, specialization of development provides theoretical basis and support, and the advice and measures on college English teachers reform of education.This article is divided into four parts:first part definition. Introducing the specialization of teachers'professional and the causes of English teacher's specialization. The second part describes the current situation of English teaching. Part three describes the role changing of English teachers under the background of new curriculum reform and transformation of teaching methods, Part four describes the direction and goals of the reform of college English teachers'education.
