For minority students in a multicultural context, Chinese learning plays an important role in multicultural education, national integration, and promoting the pattern of diversity in unity of the Chinese nation. It also helps on keeping balance of basic education development in national regions, improving the quality of education, realizing the fairness of education, and making people’s life better. As a typical multi-ethnic neighborhoods, bilingual phenomenon in Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture is particularly common. As the national communication increases rapidly, Chinese in Xishuangbanna region is more and more popular, it has become an important trend in the local language learning.School is the important channel of Chinese learning. Beiye school is an example of the primary schools in Xishuangbanna Dai autonomous prefecture. As the window school of Menghai county in Xishuangbanna, the status of Chinese learning in Baiye school can be viewed as a microcosm of the whole Xishuangbanna. The long-term Chinese learning not only improved the Chinese of the minority students, but also greatly improved the education quality of other displines. However, in reality there’re also many factors making Chinese eduction there complex. A survey shows that in the process of learning Chinese the Dai national minority students still have some problems that cannot be overlooked, for example, the imbalanced development of listening, speaking, reading and writing and low enthusiasm for learning, etc.There’re many different causes of the problems. The social factor is the most foundamental factor, but it’s commonly overlooked because of its concealment. As a subsystem of the society, the educational activities in school are influenced by social factors. The influence of social factors includes the following aspects:First, under the production way of life of self-sufficiency formed the closed single language environment, it affects the motivation of Dai national minority students’ Chinese learning; Second, the teaching activities of the teaching goal orientation bias, improper teaching material choice, shortage of teachers, teaching evaluation mechanism, such important influence on Chinese language teaching; Third, in their respective cultural background and different subjects of Chinese practical value of individual cognition, passive acceptance of Chinese identity, as well as the inevitable caused by cultural differences between Dai and Han bilingual language structure difference influence students’ Chinese learning effect.Regarding these problems, the strategy of promoting the practice of the Dai nationality students learning Chinese should be based on the cultural symbiosis and the principle of justice, according to the practical problems existing in the students’ Chinese learning and cause analysis, from the teaching goal, textbook writing, mother tongue transfer function, teacher training, the evaluation system as well as the student individual cultural consciousness and so on six aspects put forward concrete countermeasures and suggestions, to enhance the teaching quality of school education, so as to realize the goal of balanced development of basic education.
