The new curriculum standards of compulsory education have been fully utilizednationwide in the fall of2011. The development of school-based curriculum has becomeinnovation in the new round of basic education reform. The development of school-basedcurriculum is not only important for the characteristic construction of the school, teachers’professional development, students’ individualized growth, but also the supplement ofnational curriculum, local curriculum.This study research and development the school-based curriculum about the“vegetable cultivation” in junior school. This study is under the theory of school-basedcurriculum, according to the new curriculum standards of compulsory education,combining the special campus culture and the development status of the junior schoolstudents. This study includes environmental analysis, curriculum goal setting, curriculumcontent selecting, implementation of curriculum, and evaluation of the curriculum. Thepurpose of the study is to meet the diversified development needs of students, to changethe learning style of students, to provide students the opportunity to practice, and thencultivate students’ practical ability, innovation ability, scientific attitude and endurance ofhardship.The research results show that the school-based curriculum in junior school about "vegetable cultivation "meet the requirements of the new curriculum standards ofcompulsory education. Students master the knowledge and skills of vegetable cultivation,improve the ability of science inquiry and other comprehensive capabilities. The emotionattitudes and values of student have also been some progress.
