Nowadays,with the rapid development of science and technology,the transformation of economy has an increasing demand for technological talents.Also,how to cultivate innovative and qualified talents is a problem for the academic world,therefore,the authorities have issued a series of policies to change the education system.Based on the foreign experience of developing STEAM education,the reason why STEM has been established is that to cultivate students' scientific and technological innovation ability and enhance national scientific and technological productivity.So,our country introduces STEAM education into the school in order to cultivate students' innovative ability,scientific inquiry ability,and problem-solving ability.However,the education of STEM in our nation which is different from others and our students may have different situation of learning knowledges.School cannot set up STEM blindly because learners are hard to follow.In addition,in our nation the STEM is not that popular,schools and some non-governmental organizations are also developing STEM courses which are more like the computer programming or the engineering instruments such as 3D printers and laser cutting machines.Because School always focus more on the maker competitions instead of applying them to disciplines,students lack of the generation of knowledge,also,the society does not have specific policy to set STEM education or some relevant teaching materials,the STEAM education system on the market is diverse.On the contrary,in the current biology teaching,our nation has put forward the core literacy,which aims to cultivate students' abilities in many aspects.But when teachers are required to implement it,they still return to exam-oriented education.Teachers are carried out with cramming education,the students lack interest in studying biology or cultivate students' core literacy or enhance students' independence?creativity ability.STEM education filled the education gap,oriented by biological-related issues,students are allowed to explore independently.In the process of research,students not only use biological knowledge,but also boost other abilities.In this way,students not only learning knowledges but also improved their thinking ability.And most projects are craft teaching which is cultivate students' hands-on ability.Therefore,according to the discuss,this article will focus on how to set STEM education to Biology teaching and develop a biological STEAM course that can truly improve students' bio literacy.Based on the topic,the author will clarify the following contents: 1.The current core concept of STEAM education and the global STEAM education curriculum system;2.Design a biological STEAM course that meets our country's conditions and design a STEAM course model;3.The curriculum design reflects the fusion of different courses and find the common region between disciplines;4.Based on actual cases and lay the foundation for a complete course system;5.Fully tracking the changes in student knowledge before and after the course.What is more,it is easier to master knowledge during the teaching,so the research is focus more on those junior high school students who are mental maturity and have basic scientific knowledge.In this article,literature research method,action research method,investigation method,case study method and comparative research method are used to provide methodological guidance for this topic.From the beginning of the research to the end,this topic lasts for 2 years which is almost finished.But now,the curriculum system templates suitable for different scenarios have been developed,also the teaching method of 5E has been used in classroom and related to two published books.According to the research of students before and after test,the Biological STEAM education has improved the Innovation and Independent learning ability of learners.Moreover,an increasing number of students technology works are created,so the questionnaire shows that some students have changed their thinking method and they are more interested in learning knowledges than before.In addition,through the numerical analysis of the Williams creativity questionnaire,the more fusion curriculums we have,the more innovation ability students will have.
