| In recent years, Mongolia’s have made great development in education and medical and health services. But education that is for the special children such as children with mental retardation is still developed at a preliminary stage, research in this area is also rare. Children with Down syndrome often have different levels of mental retardation with a slow development of intelligence and bodies. Favourable rehabilitation training is not available for these children, and ordinary kindergarten do not accept these children. So for these special preschool children, the effect of family intervention can not be ignored. Children with Down’s syndrome are less likely to have a normal educational opportunities, so how to give children with Down’s syndrome, which are preschool, special individualized education, tap their potential and develop their self-care ability are the issues for the author to consider.This study has taken a four year old children named Ayah for example, who has Down’s syndrome, used the action research model and given the14months’ early family intervention to Ayah language intervention is the main intervention given to Ayah during the process which also includes other supplemented intervention. The author recorded specific living conditions, mental development characteristics and the intervention plan after the implementation of the rehabilitation of Ayah. At the same time, the author also communicated with Ayah’s family to enable them to give family intervention to Ayah actively.As for the research process, this study is based on the language rehabilitation intervention model proposed by Jin Ye, using language rehabilitation training on the carrier of the game and sensory integration training, trains the child through the fine and gross motor movements, for the purpose of making the child a comprehensive progress in addition to solve the language problem of him. |
