In recent years,the public has paid more and more attention to the disabled,and the social work for the disabled has also developed rapidly.Given the high proportion of children with intellectual disabilities,according to the latest census data,it is especially important for social workers to provide services to those with intellectual disabilities and their families.The clients of this study were recommended by their teachers to community workers.Based on the certificate of degree of intellectual disability issued by the hospital provided by the client’s parents,social workers evaluated the client with the cognitive impairment assessment scale used by the institution,and finally selected her as the final research object of this paper.The subjects of the study were in the second grade of an ordinary primary school.The hospital examination showed developmental delay and the degree of mental retardation was determined as mild mental retardation.Social workers used the cognitive impairment assessment scale to evaluate them.According to the results of the scale,they made service plans from four aspects: the unstable concentration of service objects,the narrow range of interests and hobbies,the poor understanding ability,and the low memory ability.Behavioral therapy mode in case work was adopted to intervene.Under the guidance of empowerment theory,social learning theory and cognitive development theory,the case intervention of service objects is carried out.The case intervention can be divided into four stages.In the first stage,the intervention is aimed at the poor attention concentration and selective attention of the service objects.In this stage,the service objects can learn to pay attention mainly through instruction training.The second stage of the service is aimed at the service object of interest in narrow range and accompanied by frequent problems of stubborn behaviour,seize the main service object is shown during the activities of interest for manual,and to strengthen,with interest in origami game will service object from painting to make by hand,The third stage is to improve the understanding ability of service objects and help them improve their cognition of object concepts.The activity process mainly adopts pair mini-games,from simple command game-"put the same things together" such as simple language instruction training to the way of telling stories to introduce the objects to be paired,from simple to complex game,and constantly improve their ability.The fourth stage is mainly on the aspects of the service object memory poor intervention,intervention in this stage in the game,through the continuity of a fairy tale about a day,every day to ask questions before the commencement of the activity,use "notepad" taught the service object,will she think of keywords(interested in things or the plot).At the end of the four stages of activity,through the study of the scale of the service object and evaluation to the service object parents,the teacher in charge,students can interview,evaluate the results found that the service object has a very significant progress,this suggests that the behavioural therapy mode are involved in the service of mild mental retardation children,improve the cognitive impairment of mild mental retardation children is feasible.
