Du Yaquan is a famous textbook compilers in modern China, whose whole lifecompiling textbook hundreds of species, and compiling natural science textbookswhich has some historical significance of the enlightenment and dissemination ofscientific knowledge, especially in the actual preparation of the compilation processof thinking gradually formed still has some inspiration value, such as textbooks selectthe “four elements” thinking, material selection process should be handled well “threerelationships” with ideas and materials physics and chemistry textbooks naturalistarrangement ideas. In this paper, through textual analysis and historical analysis asresearch methods, focus on textbook compiling as a core element with comprehensive,systematic and profound natural science textbooks compiled exploration Du Yaquan’sthoughts, in order to extend the study of textbook areas. At the same time, placing himon the development of Chinese modern textbook history so as to reveal Du Yaquan’scontribution in modern Chinese history of textbook and discover some contemporaryvalues.The whole paper can be divided into five parts:The first part: including topics origin and meaning, literature review, thedefinition of the core concepts and main method.The second part: based on historical reality, from the social background, familycollecting books, engraving book culture and keen on education for the maindimension on compiling natural science textbooks. Investigating history, stressrealistic learning, saving the nation and helping the needy is the leading cause ofcompiling textbooks.The third part: from Du Yaquan written articles and textbooks to explore theideological basis for compiling textbooks, which reconcile idea, individual freedomand scientific thought is the main idea of compiling. This is not only natural sciencetextbooks on the road theoretical basis,but also the real value of their individualpractices.The fourth part: this part describes Du Yaquan regarding the compiling naturalscience textbook proposed “four elements” thinking,“three relationship” thinking andarrangement teaching material thinking, especially in the “four element” thinking fortoday’s compiling textbooks are still of great value.Conclusion: influence.
