Environmental Moral Education Of College Students From The Perspective Of Ecological Civilization

Since the entering of21st century, while human beings are addicted to huge materialwealth that has been brought by science and technology, they are suffering from thedeteriorate ecological environment. Currently, the ecological crisis has become a hot issuewhich threats human existence and development. People began to reflect on the past lifestyles and cultural achievements, hoping to build a new way of life so that man and nature arein harmony and coexistence, and to use the power of morality and education to maintain thisway of life, and to realize the sustainable development of human society. The target ofenvironmental moral education is to cultivate a man who is in coexistence with nature,protects the natural environment and has the subjective consciousness. Through theenvironmental moral education, we can change human’s narrow vision of individual interests,take positive action for people’s coexistence and development, protect the environment andseek the harmonious development between man and nature as its own internal bindingrequirements, and upgraded to ethical consciousness. Only in this way can human have abright future.College students are regarded as the owner of the future. Their environmental moralityand moral behavior directly affect the course of the construction of ecological civilization inour country, and the development and progress of the harmonious society. Therefore it isnecessary for college students to receive a timely and effective environmental moraleducation, which is caused by the increasingly serious environmental crisis and collegestudents’ unconsciousness of protecting environment. Through various strengths, enrich thecontent and methods of environmental moral education, creating a good atmosphere forcollege student to establish a positive concept of protecting environment and to develop ahabit of good environmental moral behavior. Finally, college students can achieve the goal of“following his heart desired, without transgressing what was right” on the environmentalproblems.Based on the background of ecological civilization, this paper adopts the method of literature analysis and comprehensive analysis to make a study of environmental moraleducation for college students. This paper will be divided into five parts:The first part is mainly to elaborate the selected topic background, the significance ofthis topic, research status at home and abroad, research ideas, research methods and maininnovation points.The second part has defined the concepts that related to the environmental moraleducation, and points out that the relationship between ecological civilization and the moralenvironmental education.As well as expounds the necessity of college students’ moralenvironmental education from two sides.The third part mainly discusses the present situation of the college students’environmental moral education, which lists the achievements of the college students in termof moral environment education and find out the existing problems. On this basis, fromincomplete teaching content, inefficient teaching method, the low quality of teachers, and thedispersive strength of school, family and society, it will further analyze the causes of collegestudents’ low environmental moral ability.The fourth part mainly manifests the contents and principles of the college students’environmental moral education. The contents include: the environmental moral cognitioneducation, emotion education, will education and behavior education. On one hand, toimplement the teaching content; on the other, to follow the principle of integrity, practicalprinciple, scientific principle and the principle of subjectivity.The fifth part is based on the analysis of the causes of college students, which hasexplored an effective way to environmental moral education, mainly from the aspects ofschool, family and society. In the aspect of school, the school constantly improves teachingcontents, improving teaching methods and teachers’ quality, establishing rules and regulationsand evaluation systems to create green university, and finally to improve the environment ofthe college students’ moral quality. In terms of family, through parents precept, to guidestudents to set up a correct consumption idea and way of life, close to nature, and love nature.In terms of society, through the role of social media, to complete the propaganda ofenvironmental protection, to develop environment and cultural industry to carry out theinvestment in terms of environmental education, moral education for college students and to create a good atmosphere.Through this topic research, schools, families and society are expected to pay moreattention to environmental moral education of the college students’, and to further perfect thesystem of the college students’ environmental moral education, so as to promote the formationof the college students’ environmental ethics and to shape ecological personality, to enablestudents to undertake the historical mission to protect the environment, to construct ofecological civilization, and to realize the sustainable development and to build a harmonioussocialist society by contributing their strength.
