College Students Under The Environmental Moral Education In The Construction Of Ecological Civilization

General Secretary Hu Jintao pointed out in the Eighteen Report that construction of ecological civilization related to people’s well-being and the long-term development of our nation. With the tighter resource constraints, serious environmental pollution and the degradation of ecological system, we must establish the idea of respecting for nature, obeying nature and protecting nature. Ecological civilization construction should be highlighted and integrated into economic construction, political construction, cultural construction and social construction which aim to build a beautiful China and achieve a sustainable development of China.Ecological problem is one of the serious problems in our society which brings a great challenge to the sustainable development of human beings. Air pollution brought by industrial production and urbanization leads to continuous haze weather. Serious water pollution causes the outbreak of red tide in coastal. Indiscriminate felling of trees results in the soil erosion, landslides, dust storms and other secondary disasters. These are all threats to the safety of our survival, health and sustainable development between man and nature.Ecological civilization is a new form of civilization which is formed by constant reflection on the various ecological problems in the process of industrialization and the validity of passed values towards treating the natural environment. Ecological civilization embodies a kind of sustainable relationship between man and nature which follows the law of nature.Ecological civilization construction is a systematic project which needs the integration of resources and eco-moral awareness is the foundation of it. So people need to receive the education of eco-moral awareness. Only when people generally have a sense of eco-moral awareness, can they build a better social construction of ecological civilization. Eco-moral education is an important way to cultivate their eco-moral awareness. Eco-moral education refers to that in a certain society, in order to make people follow the basic principles of the eco-moral behavior and carry out the obligations of ecological balance, so people are applied to eco-moral effects in an organized and systematic way. It is an important means of transferring eco-moral requirements into eco-moral qualities.In the education of eco-moral awareness, college students as a special group, is the main power in the future construction of ecological civilization. Cultivating their eco-moral awareness is necessary to establish their sustainable ecological environment development concept. Since the1980s, the CPC Central Committee began to pay attention to the ecological environment of moral education, and in1991they established the National College of Environmental Science Education Steering Committee. In January1997, they released the "National Environmental Publicity and Education Platform for Action (2010,1996) which pointed out that the universities must regard environmental education and environmental education as a part of the quality education. Teachers Colleges gradually take environment division as a compulsory subject and non-environmental majors should take it as a public elective cause. In the same year, Beijing Normal University established Environmental Education Center, which is the first eco-environmental education in higher education institutions in China. Then Southwest Normal University and East China Normal University also set up an environmental education center.However, we have made some achievements in the College Environmental Moral Education, but there are also some problems, such as lack of eco-moral causes, weakness of eco-moral teachers, absence of teaching forms and contents. So it is important to change the current teaching methods and contents and improve students’eco-moral awareness as well as establish their eco-moral awareness and sustainable development of ecological environment.Eco-moral education of college students needs to have a rich ideological traceability and theoretical basis. Ancient thoughts of ecological environment, Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism are the origin of today’s ecological civilization construction and college students’ eco-moral education. Marx and Engels’s concept of ecological environment and contemporary scientific concept provide an important theoretical basis of students’eco-moral education. In order to achieve good results of college eco-moral education, the thesis will analyze countermeasures of teaching effectiveness from two aspects:First, the principle of effectiveness, including the general principles of teaching content, theoretical education and practical principles of participation and form of education rich diversity principles; second, the valid path analysis, including the establishment and improvement of college students’ eco-moral education curriculum system, strengthen the construction of teachers to carry out the construction of green campus culture and the integration of off-campus environmental ethics educational resources.The construction of ecological civilization is a long-term and arduous task, so college students’ eco-moral education is also a long-term educational practice and its educational outcomes directly related to effectiveness of the construction of ecological civilization in the future. Therefore, to explore the construction of ecological civilization college eco-moral education and its effectiveness and search for the path of moral education not only have theoretical significance but also important practical values.
