The teaching of ideological and political course values conforms to the needs ofsocial development and the historical trend of human civilization, and it passes somecertain social ideology values to students to help them improve their ability of judgingthe value and the value of choice, thus forming a scientific values of life. Meanwhilethe teaching of ideological and political course values encourages students to becomea high-quality community builder in a harmonious society. The social responsibility ofthe teaching of ideological and political course values means that the teaching isbound to be limited by the current politics, economy and culture, but on the otherhand it will react on the current politics, economy and culture. Nowadays in China,politics, economy and culture are undergoing tremendous changes, at the same timepeople’s values are constantly updating. Senior school students’ values are in theradical changes and their value of life is not mature, which indicates that the teachingof ideological and political course values is facing a complicated environment andneeds to solve a variety of problems. Therefore the issues mentioned above increasethe difficulty of the teaching values of ideological and political course. Theideological and political course teachers have the responsibility to establish scientificvalues for students. During the three years’ teaching practice, I have thought a lotabout students’ values according to the current situation and the problems amongsenior school students, and I also am aware of the importance of correct values in myown growth process. In order to work better in my teaching of values, I specially payattention to the teaching values of ideological and political course, and I expect toprovide more reference in my future teaching through the deep research.Ever since graduating from college I have been teaching ideological andpolitical course in a high school for years, I strongly feel the great changes basiceducational curriculum reform has brought, but I still believe that there are manyproblems worth exploring and the teaching of ideological and political course valuescan improve a lot. Therefore, based on the actual situation and the research needs Iapply the following methods in the writing process:(1) Literature research methods.This method mainly include some research activities such as the access to the schoollibrary for the books, logging in China Journal Net, school papers and otherelectronic resources, library databases, retrieving relevant doctors’ and masters’papers as well as going over my own study notes, teaching experience and so on.(2)Survey interview. In order to gather more information, I took advantage of myteaching job to survey and interview some colleagues and students. In my spare time Ijoined a group which consists of politics teachers to communicate and exchange ourideas.(3) Observation. I carefully observed the values of the status among high schoolstudents in everyday teaching, and summarize the status of the teaching of values andthe problems, thus to collect materials for my research practice.This article includes three parts which are the introduction, the body, and theconclusion.Introduction discusses the background and significance of the values of theideological and political education classes and analyzes the research status of the subject home and abroad. Meanwhile this part comes up with the ideas and methodsof the proposed research topic.The body comprises three parts. The first part is the analysis of basic question ofideological and political course teaching values. Firstly, it provides the concept ofvalue. Followed by a comprehensive inquiry from the height of Marxist theory ofvalues, and then it discusses the ideological and political course teaching from theperspective of life and moral values. Finally I fully analyze the characteristics of theideological and political teaching course. The second part is to explore the mainproblems existing in the ideological and political course teaching values. At first, Ianalyze the problems from four aspects, that is teaching aims, teaching methods,teaching resources and teaching evaluation. The four aspects make the problems morespecific and clear. Then I focus on the reason analysis from society, school, family,teachers and high school students to make the problems more comprehensive anddetailed. The third section is based on the first and second part which describes theimprovement strategy of ideological and political course teaching values. At the sametime, this section points out that the community, schools, families, teachers and seniorschool students should bear their own responsibilities and work together to help seniorschool students develop good values.The conclusion of this paper is to simply collate and summarize the values ofideological and political course teaching, and it also indicates that the improvement isnot an easy thing, nor an unilateral effort to complete such a great task. So it needs allsectors of society to work together in the long run. All the above show my futureresearch direction.
