Looking around the world, teacher education has been a matter of urgent unprecedently.Many countries are aimed at facilitating the professional development of teachers. The UnitedStates is the top country in the filed. Therefore, to probe and analysis the Clinically BasedPractice Model for Teacher Preparation in the United States, has a referential significance forthe reform and development of teacher education in China as well as the improvement of thesystem of the teachers’ educational practice and the enhancement of the qualities of normalcollege graduates.The Clinically Based Practice Model for Teacher Preparation is promoted and researchedby the blue ribbon panel in National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, whoseassertion is that teacher candidates should be trained in a clinical environment as doctors andlawyers.universities and schools in districts will combine firmly. teacher candidates arecultivated into effective teachers with the instruction from experienced teachers both inuniversities and schools.This thesis systematic studies about the background,constructive basics content and thecharacteristics about this issue with the methods of philological method, historicalmethod,case study method, etc. This thesis consists of the introduction and five chapter.The introduction mainly discusses the reasons for choosing this topic, research purposeand significance,and reviews the relevant domestic and international literatures.This partalso defines the basic concepts,explains the research method and innovative points.Chapter one: The introduction of former modesChapter two: The construction basis and fundamental principle of the clinically basedpractice model for teacher preparation,Chapter three: The main factors included in the Clinically Based Practice Model forTeacher Preparation.Chapter four: This part summarizes the characteristics of the Clinically Based PracticeModel for Teacher Preparation. Chapter five: This part analyzes the enlightenment of teacher education reform for ourcountry.
