The Nazi Holocaust and the Nanking Massacre are both the event attracting worldwideattention during the War II. After the War II, Israel began to develop the holocaust education,and has obtained remarkable achievement through the unremitting efforts. The developmentof Nanking massacre education in our country, especially in middle school education hasdeveloped slowly. The thesis tries to think of the above problem and summarize theenlightenment from the Israeli holocaust education to Nanking Massacre education, throughthe study of development of Israeli holocaust education and the current situation and existingproblems in the Nanking Massacre education of middle school in our country. As a kind ofhistory education, Holocaust education plays an important role in cultivating students’ view ofhistory, values, outlook on life and world outlook. Therefore, it has important theoretical andpractical significance that drawing lessons from successful Israeli holocaust education andstudying how to develop Nanking Massacre education in middle school.Based on the above consideration, this thesis includes three parts: introduction, text andepilogue.The introduction part mainly starts with the research background and significance,introducing the research of Nazi Holocaust and Nanking Massacre and the education aboutthem at home and aboard. At the same time, introduce the methods and innovation of thisthesis.The text part includes three parts.The first chapter is the research about Nazi Holocaust and Israeli holocaust education.This chapter includes four aspects: summary of the Nazi Holocaust and its influence; differentstages of Israeli holocaust education; the construction of Israeli holocaust education system;methodology principle of Israeli holocaust education. Through the four aspects, we canunderstand and comprehend Israeli holocaust education entirely.The second chapter is the introduction for the Nanking Massacre and the problem of itseducation of middle school in our country. Over the years, it focuses on the fact of theNanking Massacre, ignoring the education of emotional attitude and values, which makesstudents know the history of Nanking Massacre, failing to understand its moral enlightenment and thinking of human nature. In addition, some other problems also influence and restrict thedevelopment of Nanking Massacre education of middle school in our country, such as theproblems in history textbooks, single holocaust education way.The third chapter mainly studies the enlightenment from Israeli holocaust education toNanking Massacre education of middle school in our country. Though Israeli holocausteducation has some problems, it’s successful on the whole, especially in the choice ofholocaust education content, diversification of education mode, etc. It will be beneficial forthe further development of Nanking Massacre education to draw lessons from Israeliholocaust education.The epilogue is the summary of the text. It will be new attempt on Nanking Massacreeducation to study Israeli holocaust education and draw lesson from it, which will contributeto enhance the influence of Nanking Massacre education on next generation. Facing the factthat Japan denies the Nanking Massacre and the conflict on Diaoyu Island issue betweenChina and Japan, it has important practical significance to develop Nanking Massacreeducation. The day of December13, as a National Memorial Day of Nanking Massacre in law,shows the importance of it. We believe that our Nanking Massacre education will developbetter, and play its educational significance and influence.
